Details:
The course is a 3 mile loop at Wyandotte County Lake Park
Starts at Shelter 14
You will run the loop as many times as possible for the duration
You only need to finish 1 loop to be counted as a finisher.

-Packet Pick-Up on site starting at 7am.-
The 6 hour run will begin promptly at 8am.
The 3 hour run will begin promptly at 11am. There is no early start for the 3 hour run.
You must START your final lap prior to 2pm.
Any lap started at 1:59pm or earlier will count no matter how long it takes you... but you may want to hurry up to ensure all the food and drinks aren't gone at the awesome finisher party which will commence right after 2pm... but hey, the party is pretty much going all day.

Porta potties available at the start line/finish line all day. Aid station going all day which will feature our sponsor's products, Untappd Maple. This is good stuff, give it a try and see if you fly!
We will also have a small staging area for your own supplies/drop bags so you don't have to go to your car!
But you're welcome to! Just make sure you check in and out at the start and end of each loop!

There will be a fire going, bring a camp chair, bring some sodas, come and hang out!

We will have food catered from our sponsor, Don Antonio's, and drinks on tap later in the day.
Each finisher will also receive a finisher's beer from our sponsor, Double Shift Brewing (tall boy can, so you could abscond with it if you really need to).

THERE WILL BE RACE DAY SIGNUP, $100 CASH ONLY FOR EITHER DISTANCE.

Awards:

There will be awards for 1st Male and 1st Female in both the 6 hour and 3 hour for 4 total awards.
There will be a modest cash sum awarded.
Scoring: Number of laps completed, and then first in.
Also awarded will be anyone completing 11 or more laps (50k+).
Only 2 individuals have managed this in the past.

Route:
Run will begin at Shelter 14 and start very briefly on the road... quickly running across a field, across the West Drive, and into the trails. Take a right and run to the dog park. BEWARE OF OFF LEASH DOGS HERE. -- But these typically aren't a problem.

Continue hanging right following the flags up through a green gate and take a sharp left. Now you are on single track/bridle trail for most of the rest of the loop. Down an alley... and then the signature climb of the course.

After that its a harrowing decent (speed demon)... another ascent, and then the part of the course known as Fester's wander.

You'll quickly find yourself back at the start/loop. Make sure you check-in and get your lap counted as you come in (no chips) -- then feel free to hang or sit a while, get some aid, but definitely go back out for more.

Elevation profile:

elevation

We wheel measured the course. It is exactly 3 miles. So, in order to earn the 50k(+) designation you will have to complete 11 laps.Unfortunate that it didn't measure slightly longer... but hey ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION FOR 50K+ finishers.

Lots of elevation out there! But also a lot quite runnable! ENJOY THIS AWESOME COURSE!
Parking:
As you enter the parking area, please do not park directly in front of the shelter house.
There should be plenty of parking all around, but take care to park smartly.
